Red Dog was originally a banking game wherein the punters bet on whether any card in their hand would be the same suit as and higher than a card to be dealt from the pack. This game, also called High Card Pool.
The dealer will deal two cards, the first card to the left and the second to the right. Then you'll have the option of whether to raise or not. A raise must be equal to the original wager. If the third card ranks between the first two cards, you win. If the third card is a match or is outside the first two cards, you lose.

• 1 card spread: 5-1
• 2-card spread: 4-1
• 3-card spread: 2-1
• 4+-card spread: 1-1
The hand is a push if the first two cards are of consecutive ranks. A third card is dealt if the first two cards are equal. You are paid out 11-1 if the third card is also equal to the first two cards. The hand is considered a push, however, if the third card is not equal to the first two cards.
