Caribbean stud poker is a casino table game with rules similar to five card stud poker. However, unlike standard poker games, Caribbean stud is played against the house rather than against other players. There is no bluffing or other deception. Hence most poker players do not consider it to be a form of poker.
The object of the game of Caribbean Poker is to beat the dealer's five-card poker hand. Both the type of poker hand you're dealt determines your winnings, and whether or not your hand beats the dealer's hand. The better the poker hand you have, the more you can win. See payout window on game for details.
Begin by placing your ante bet in the correct betting area and click "deal". Once this is done, you're dealt five cards, face up, and the dealer is also dealt five cards, four down and the fifth card dealt face up.
You need to decide whether to raise or fold at this point. If you fold, you lose your ante and the hand is over. If you "Raise", you bet double the ante in the bet circle, and the dealer's cards are revealed. The dealer must have at least an Ace/King combination to qualify. If the dealer doesn't qualify, you automatically win the ante bet, and the raise portion of the bet is considered a push and is returned to the player.
If the dealer does qualify, your hand is compare to the dealer's hand. If your hand wins, you are paid out to according to the payout chart. If your hand loses than all bets, the raise and the ante are lost and the hand is over.
