Texas Hold'em - All you wanted to know about it.
Texas Hold'em is one of the most dramatic and popular varieties of poker in the world, and it seems like everywhere you turn there is another poker show, article, or another website dedicated to the subject. It's what determines each year's poker champ at the World Series of Poker.
But, how do you play Texas Hold'em
In Hold'em, players receive two down cards (hole cards), after which there is a round of betting. Three community cards (called the "flop") are dealt face up on the board and another round of betting occurs, starting with the first active player in front of the button. The next two board cards (called the "turn" and "river") are turned over one at a time with a round of betting after each. A player may use any five-card combination, including one, both, or none of their hole cards. When it's time to "showdown" the hands, the player with the best five cards wins the hand.
